'Ello.
So, I've figured out and written down my terrarium plan. I need to see if my old fish tank is too tall, but I know what temps, lights, and humidity I need to use. And the reptile carpet as well.
So now I'm working out my feeding plan. The veg should be no problem, but the protein bit is getting difficult. Apparently getting beardies, especially babies, to eat pellets is fairly difficult. What I'm thinking of doing is buyin fluker's freeze-dried crickets (which are gut-loaded), and feedint them. That way, can hand-feed or use tweezers and twil the cricket around a bit. The movement will, from what I've read, more than likely cause the dragon to gobble it up. But just to make sure that my dragon is getting all the nutrients it needs (some people say that the freeze-drying proccess makes the crickets less nutritional), I'll go ahead and get some pellets, which I'll soak in either water or fruit juice and then put that in the beardie's salad. Dusting everything with calcium/D3 supplement once a day as a baby, once every other day as an adult.
But one thing that I'm worried about is I'm afraid that the crickets may be too big for a baby. Can I cut them up?
Just looking for some advice. Thanks for everything!
